1. Introduction

Welcome to God Tier Community, developed and operated by 9to5 B.V., Van Ittersumstraat 150, 8012 TN Zwolle, the Netherlands. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Email address (required for authentication)
  • Display name (optional)
  • Profile picture (optional, if provided via OAuth)

2.2 Information from Third-Party Social Media Services

We allow you to create an account and log in to use the Service through the following Third-party Social Media Services:

  • Google

If you decide to register through or otherwise grant us access to a Third-Party Social Media Service, we may collect Personal data that is already associated with your Third-Party Social Media Service's account, such as your name, your email address, your activities or your contact list associated with that account.

2.3 Google User Data

When you sign in with Google, we use your potentially personal data only to create your user account and identify you. usage of your data is limited to:

  • Authentication: We use your email address and basic profile info (name, avatar) to create and secure your account.
  • Limited Use: Use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

2.4 Profile Information

You may choose to provide additional profile information:

  • Bio or description
  • Location (city and country)
  • Date of birth
  • Gender
  • Wrist size

All profile information is optional and can be updated or removed at any time.

2.5 Content You Create

We store the content you create on our platform, including posts, comments, and uploaded images. This content is associated with your account and may be visible to other community members based on your privacy settings.

2.6 Usage Data

We may collect information about how you interact with our platform, such as pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform. This helps us improve the user experience.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain our services
  • Authenticate your account and manage your session
  • Display your profile and content to other community members
  • Enable social features like following, reactions, and comments
  • Send you important updates about the platform (if you opt in)
  • Improve our services and user experience
  • Ensure platform security and prevent abuse
  • Create a digital version of your watch for the Strap Studio from its main photo, if you agree to this (see 6.5)

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard practices. We use Supabase for authentication and database services, which implements robust security measures. Images are stored in Supabase Storage with appropriate access controls.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • With other users: Your profile information and public content are visible to other community members.
  • On our own social media accounts: We re-share public feed content on the God Tier accounts on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Section 5.1 explains exactly what this means and how to stop it.
  • Service providers: We engage trusted third-party service providers (detailed in Section 6) to perform functions and provide services to us, such as hosting, database maintenance, and authentication.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights and safety.

5.1 Our Own Social Media Channels

God Tier Community runs its own accounts on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. We re-publish public feed content there — wrist checks, discussions, and collection or wishlist additions. A post we re-share carries the photo, a quote of what you wrote, and your name, because credit is the point of doing it at all.

Our legal basis is legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): showing what the community makes is how the community is found. We are not calling this consent, and you do not have to do anything to make it stop — see below.

  • Only what is already public here. Anything you deleted, anything hidden because you made your collection or wishlist private, and direct messages are never shared.
  • Turn it off in advance. Settings → Privacy → Social channels stops it, including anything already queued to go out. No explanation needed and nothing else about your account changes.
  • Object to one specific post. If a photo is already out there and you would rather it were not, tell us — through the platform or at info@milanvanbruggen.nl. You do not need a reason. We take it down from our channels, and we will tell you when it is done.
  • What we cannot undo. Once something has been public, other people may have saved or re-posted it, and platforms keep their own caches for a while. We can remove our own post; we cannot reach beyond it.
  • You keep your rights. Your photos stay yours. This is permission to re-share, not a transfer of ownership.
  • Someone else in the frame. If you appear in a photo another member posted, the objection route above is open to you too, whether or not you are a member here.

This is the right to object under Article 21 GDPR, made concrete. We would rather you use it than feel uneasy about posting here.

6. Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers to facilitate our Service. These providers have access to your potentially Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

6.1 Vercel

Vercel is a cloud platform for static sites and Serverless Functions. We use Vercel to host and deploy our application.

6.2 Supabase

Supabase is an open source Firebase alternative. We use Supabase for:

  • Authentication: Managing user sign-ups and sign-ins.
  • Database: Storing user data, posts, and comments.
  • Storage: Hosting user-uploaded images.

6.3 Resend

Resend delivers the emails we send you, such as notification digests and price alerts. Delivery records containing your email address are retained by Resend under their own retention policy.

6.4 Sentry

Sentry collects technical error reports so we can find and fix crashes. These reports may include a user identifier and are retained for up to 90 days.

6.5 OpenAI (Strap Studio)

The Strap Studio lets you see your watch on other straps. To do that we send the main photo of a watch in your collection or wishlist to OpenAI's image API, which returns a picture of the watch head without its strap. We only do this after you agree to it in the Strap Studio; you are asked once, and from then on it also happens automatically when you add a watch with a photo. We send the photo only, not your name, email address or other account details.

  • Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent to the API is not used to train their models, and is kept for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring only.
  • The resulting image is stored with us (Supabase Storage). If your watch has a brand and reference number, it is shared with other members who look at the same reference, so it is only made once; it is also shown in the public Strap Studio when the watch itself is public.
  • You can ask us to remove an image at any time via the contact details below; reported images are reviewed by an administrator.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Update or correct your information at any time
  • Delete your account and associated data — see how to delete your account

  • Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember your preferences, and improve your experience. You can control cookie settings through your browser.

9. Children's Privacy

Our platform is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
